Evan Vahouny is the Owner & Principal of Higher Impact LLC, where he helps mid-market companies build credible carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, and climate strategy programs.
Evan brings 15+ years of experience across sustainability advisory, climate tech, consulting, product strategy, data systems, and client delivery. Before founding Higher Impact, he held senior leadership roles at Proof, a carbon accounting and sustainability software/advisory company, where he helped scale the business from early stage to $1M+ ARR and led work across product, customer solutions, go-to-market, and enterprise delivery.
His work spans Scope 1–3 carbon accounting, Scope 3 methodology, supplier data programs, CDP, EcoVadis, TCFD, SBTi, net zero transition planning, sustainability data systems, and investor-ready reporting. He has supported complex mid-market and global companies, including pharma, life sciences, manufacturing, education, and PE-backed businesses.
He brings a practical operating lens to sustainability work, combining strategic advisory with the project management, data workflows, stakeholder alignment, and follow-through required to get work done inside complex organizations.
